Profile Synopsis[]

Empire in Black and Gold[]

Scuto is an agent of Stenwold Maker living in Helleron. He runs the local anti-imperial spy ring. Scuto encounters Totho after the later is ambushed by Wasp-kinden and sell swords while tying to meet up with Stenwold's on Helleron. The Thornburg and halfbreed quickly take to each other. Scuto assists Totho in the construction of his repeating nail bow. Scuto is the first of Stenwold's party to recognize there is a shapeshifter among them and create countermeasures.

Scuto is present during the assault on his headquarters by agents and hired swords of rekef agent Thalric. He assists Stenwold in the attack on the Pride. He and Cheerwell work together to overload the engines, causing them to explode.

Dragonfly Falling[]

Scuto is dispatched by Stenwold to Sarn along with Achaeos, Cheerwell, and Sperra. Scuto's task was to lean on old contacts in the city to gain an audience with the royal court and deliver Stenwold's message of the danger of the empire and the necessity of Lowlands unity. Though his old contact Plius is initially wary of trying to secure a royal audience for Collegiate agents, he agrees to do so. When the time for the audience comes, it is Sperra who actually speaks to the court as Scuto believes she will be less offputting.

When Collegium is besieged by Vek, the queen of Sarn at first intends to support to allied Beetle city. But events overtake them all when Helleron surrenders to the Imperial Seventh Army without a fight. Sarn instead commits all it's forces to it's own defense. As a token gesture the queen agrees to send a small Lorn detachment (basically a suicide mission) to Collegium. Scuto volunteers to go as he wanted to be back in Collegium to assist Stenwold during siege.

The Lorn detachment, just three war automotives, plays an unexpectedly outsize role in the siege. Just as the Vekken finally create a breach in Collegium's walls and begin moving in, the automotives arrive from the north and begin firing on the Vekken lining up at the breach. The invading soldiers mistakenly believe the automotives are just the first arrived of a much larger Sarnesh force and abandon the breach, buying the city another day. The Vekken do manage to destroy three automotives and Scuto is killed.
